Manhattan: York Avenue - 91st Street

York Avenue (Avenue A), north from above 91st Street to the end of the Avenue at 93rd Street, showing the municipal ferry to Astoria. Because of the shore line of the East River, Avenue A as surveyed in 1811 is not continuous. This is the northern end of the second part of it, from 54th to 93rd Streets, known below 60th Street as Sutton Place and Sutton Place South, and as York Avenue (since late 1928) above 60th Street.
