Manhattan: Central Park - Terrace Fountain and the Lake - The Mall.

Central Park, the Mall: Bethesda Fountain, on the shore of the Lake (eastern bay), above the Esplanade at the northern end of the Mall. The design is by Miss Emma Stebbins, a New York sculptor; and represents the angel blessing the waters of the pool of Bethesda. In her left hand the angel holds a branch of lilies, emblem of purity.
