Queens: Roosevelt Avenue - Lawrence Street

Roosevelt Avenue, north side, east from Lawrence Street, Flushing, showing old-type homes, a reminder of the past. Several houses, those between the second and third telephone poles, were later razed when Prince Street was cut through running north and south, to reach Roosevelt Avenue. View 2 shows the first group of homes seen in view 1 up to the second telephone pole, after Prince Street was cut through. It is now (1940) near the S.
