Manhattan: Houston Street (East) - Lafayette Street

East Houston Street (running through centre), west from and including Lafayette Street (left), to but not including Broadway (right), as seen from Mulberry Street, across the clearance at its N.W. corner with East Houston Street. The clearances shown on both sides of the street were created by the demolition of buildings to make way for the construction of the Independent System Subway (Eighth Ave. subway). March 16, 1934. P.
