Brooklyn: Jamaica Avenue - Highland Place
(1) Jamaica Ave., south side, west of Highland Place, showing from left to right the homes of John Eldert (1873) and A.H.W. Van Sicklen (1873). Both houses were demolished in 1925; the first to make way Force Tube Ave; and the second, to make way for a Y.M.C.A. The first house if standing, would be at the S.W. corner of Highland Place and Jamaica Ave; the second, at the S.E. corner of Shepherd and Jamaica Aves. April 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
