Manhattan: Wall Street - William Street

Wall Street, north side, west from (No. 34-36, right), a point midway between William and Nassau Streets, across the latter to Broadway and showing in a progressive order, the Gallatin National Bank; the United States Assay Office; the United States Sub-Treasury; the Bankers Trust Co. (39-stories); the Astor Building and the First National Bank. The Gallatin Bank appearing on the right will be demolished in 1929 and its site will be included for the new 70-story Bank of Manhattan Building. Prior to that date the Assay Office was rebuilt to 4-stories. 1916. Gift of Albert A. Volk Co.
