Wall Street, north side, west from (No. 50, building at right) a point to the east of William Street and across same to Broadway (left, Trinity Church seen on the north side of same). From (left) to right appear the Royal Insurance Building (No. 50); the Bank of New York (No. 48, building erected 1857); the Bank of America (No. 44-46, building erected 1888-1889); the Merchants National Bank (No. 40-42, erected 1884); a small 7 story structure, No. 38; the Gallatin National Bank (No. 36, erected 1887); the Assay office; the United States Sub treasury; the Gillenden Building; several others and finally the National Bank of the Republic (erected 1880).
