Alexander Avenue, south from E. 142nd Street. On the west side of the avenue (left) can be seen three churches. The first is St. Mary's Protestant Episcopal church; the second, the Alexander Avenue Baptist church, at the southeast corner of E. 141st Street; and the third, St. Jeromes Roman Catholic church at the southeast corner of E. 138th Street.
