Queens: Metropolitan Avenue - Woodhaven Boulevard

Metropolitan Avenue (right, telegraph pole thereon) at the S.W. corner of Woodhaven Boulevard. View No. 2 is looking southeastward from Metropolitan Avenue (tracks thereon). Views 3 and 4 are looking northward on Trotting Course Lane. This house, sometimes known as the Garret Vanderveer house, was erected in 1850 by Henry [Suyden] Vanderveer. In 1880 it was moved from its old site, which was located opposite the old homestead, to the present site and here enlarged and remodeled.
