Manhattan: Park Avenue - 34th Street (East)

Park Ave., at the S.E. corner of East 34th Street, showing the tower atop the 71st Regiment Armory at that location and viewed north-westward from No. 1 Park Ave. In the background, beyond same is the tall No. 10 East 40th Street Building, so nearly in line with No. 500 Fifth Ave. as to almost hide the latter. Note in the lower foreground the roofs of the Community Church and the Green residence (old No. 1 Park Ave.) on the left and right of the Armory tower respectively. The former has been replaced by a modern apartment house. This set consists of a negative and positive photostat of an original photograph which was discoloring in the files. January 15, 1931. P. L.
