Queens: 59th Drive - Fresh Pond Road
59th Drive, at and adjoining the N.E. corner of Fresh Pond Road (left not shown), showing in the foreground, in a set of four views, the T. Hallett house of 1852. Alden Sampson and Sons were owners in 1891. Davis and Nathaniel King, employees of the above named oilcloth manufacturer, abided here until 1921. Note that View No. 2 shows the old Fresh Pond Road making a turn into 59th Drive. The old road has been discontinued and no sign of it appears south of 59th Drive in 1929. The last mentioned street now extends along the wooden fence. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. 1922.
