Manhattan: Amsterdam Avenue - Cathedral Parkway

Amsterdam Avenue, at the N. E. corner of Cathedral Parkway (West 110th Street), showing the Leake & Watts Orphan Asylum. Incorporated in 1831 by John G. Leake and Robert Watts; the buildings here were erected in 1843 at 113th Street. After the sale of the site to the Protestant Episcopal Archdiocese for the site of St. John's Cathedral, in 1886, they moved to Ludlow.
