Manhattan: Broadway - Fulton Street

Broadway (right, center) south from about Fulton Street as viewed from (according to the writer) either the Woolworth or the American Telegraph and Telephone Building, to show an early view of the downtown financial area. Prominent in the center are the Singer, Cunard, Whitehall and Standard Oil Buildings. In the left foreground is the rectangular Federal Reserve Bank Bldg. Beyond these structures appears Governors Island lying in the Upper Bay between the Brooklyn (left) and Jersey (right) shores. In the distance, vaguely perceived is the Staten Island outline.
