Brooklyn: Lincoln Place - 8th Avenue

Lincoln Place (right) at the N.E. corner of Eighth Avenue, showing in a set of two views the Montauk Club. See History of Architectural and Bldg. Trades, Vol I., of N.Y., 1899. F. H. Kimball was the architect. It is a copy of the Ca. D' Oro located on the Grand Canal in Venice Italy. Under the figures in View No. 2 is this inscription "1650- Wyandance - Suchane - Pamannack, his wife and his son Wiankabone gave a deed to Lion Gardiner of Sagbrook, east Hapton, Long Island: July 13, 1650."
