Manhattan: Central Park.

Central Park: Aerial View from Hotel Sherry-Netherland at the southeastern corner of the Park, showing the old Arsenal and the Zoo, which is to be rebuilt in 1934, in the right foreground. To the left may be seen the Green, or south meadow, and behind it Central Park West at 72nd Street. The Mall is in the center of the picture, just south of the Lake. On the east side, at Fifth Avenue and 80th Street, are the buildings of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and to the left of them the old Lower Reservoir, rectangular in shape, which at the time of this picture is shortly to go into disuse, with the view of later making it into a garden. The North Reservoir is the large body of water above it. Central Park West, from 72nd to 96th Streets, is shown at the left. Summer, 1930. Ewing Galloway.
