Brooklyn: Mermaid Avenue - 17th Street (West)

Mermaid Ave., at the N.W. corner of West 17th Street, showing the R.C. Church Of Our Lady Of Solace. This church was demolished in 1924. It was originally the discarded depot of the West End R.R. and was moved to the above site by George C. Tilyou. Rev. Father Brophy was the first rector. January 1924. Eugene L.
