Queens: Grand Avenue - Calamus Road

Grand Ave., north side, in proposed 82nd Street, between Calamus Road and the New York Connecting Railroad, showing a shrouded view of a John Gray house, built about 1656. The front of the structure was made of small stones gathered on the farm. --- Arthur White.
