707 East 215th Street, adjoining the N.E. corner of White Plains Road, showing the Williams House. It was the home of the family of John Williams after whom Williams Bridge (across the Bronx River) and the present Williamsbridge section were named. The house was built in about 1755. The G.W. Bromley map of 1927 shows that site to be occupied by a 2-story brick house. For further data see Jenkins The Story of the Bronx, page 418. 1906 Gift of Randall Comfort.
