5122 Post Road, east side, north from West 251st Street, showing the Hadley House. It is said to have given shelter to George Washington more than once. Its present occupant and owner states that the stone south wing of the house is at this date (1937) slightly more than 200 years old and contained a slave room. The wooden part was added about 100 years later.
