(1) Plumb Island: A view eastward towards Marine Park, showing a group of shacks recently demolished by men and fire. It is upon this waste that Marine Park will be constructed. June 18, 1937. P. L. Sperr. (2) The same, showing a farther view southeastward. Note in the background the new Marine Parkway Bridge which was opened to the public on July 3rd 1937. On the two following days 1,000,000 people went over it. April 29, 1937. P. L. Sperr. (3) The same, looking more to the southeast from the north side of Plumb Island.
