(1) 547 East 54th Street, at the N.E. corner of Canarsie Ave., show- ing the J.W. Anderson house. Mr Anderson had his blacksmith shop across the road, at the S.W. corner in 1857. Jackson Ryder owned this house at a later date. It was demolished in 1929. 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. (2) The same, from a slightly different angle. Note the addition of a summer porch.
