115-117 Evergreen Ave., at Jefferson Street, showing the original St. Mark's Evan. Lutheran Church, which was organized in 1868. It occupied the peaked roof structure in the center of the view, from 1869 to 1892. The property upon which it stands, was owned in 1855, by Abraham Vandervoort, who died in 1891. In 1892 the Congregation moved to a new structure, completed the preceding year, at the S.E. corner of Bushwick Ave., and Jefferson Street.
