Kosciuszko Bridge: A view across the area in Brooklyn where the new Kosciuszko Bridge will be thrown across Newtown Creek, linking Meeker Avenue in Brooklyn and Laurel Hill Boulevard in Queens. View 2 shows the $6,000,000 high-level span when completed, seen from Brooklyn. The bridge was formally named for the Polish patriot Thaddeus Kosciuszko by Mayor LaGuardia on September 22, 1940.
