Second Avenue, northward from E. 39th Street (lower foreground and not seen) as viewed from a top No. 301 E. 38th Street. In the foreground is a clearance between 39th and 40th Streets and which is shown solely in No. 2. To the north are structures around 42nd Street; the News Building being that on the left. Beyond this is the Crystal Building at the S.W. corner of 43rd Street. To the right are units of Tudor City with its Hotel Woodstock only partially shown.
