Sixth Avenue, Extension South, south from Walker to Church Street, showing this new portion under construction. The municipal subway (8th Ave. line) is being placed under the thoroughfare extension, which necessitated a diagonal swath thru from Canal to Church Street. The latter appears to the right center. Over top of buildings on the east side of same, at Franklin Street, is the tower of the Municipal Building. September 12, 1927 October 11, 1928 P. L. Sperr
