(1) John Street, south side, west from Pearl Street, showing excavation work in progress on the north side of the street, between Pearl and Cliff Streets, where the 26-story office building, No. 111 John Street was later erected. In the foreground appears a portion of the South Ferry Division of the 2nd and 3rd avenues Elevated Lines, on Pearl Street. P. L. Sperr. June 16, 1928. (2) The same, from a point slightly west. Prominent structure shown at the S. W. corner of Gold Street (center) is the 25-story Insurance Centre Building, No. 80 John Street. June 16, 1928. P. L.
