A general view of the Grand Central Zone as viewed southward on Park Ave. from East 52nd Street, at which point appears the Hotel Ambassador (left foreground) with St. Bartholomew's P.E. Church just beyond (S.E. corner of 51st Street). Prominently shown (centre) is the new Waldorf Astoria Hotel flanked on one side by the R.C.A. Building and the Chrysler, Chanin, Grand Central Palace and Lincoln Buildings on the other. Distinctly shown between the R.C.A. Building and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel is Tudor City located near the East River, which is dimly apparent on the left. October 31, 1932. Wurts Brothers. This photograph was used in NYPL Art Deco exhibit, Apr 30, 1975.
