11th Avenue, at the N. W. corner of W. 23rd Street, showing a "diner" located there, surrounded by the yards and shops of the New York Railway Company. At the right is the 9-story Baltimore and Ohio Railroad freight station and storage warehouse on 26th Street. View 2, being several years later, shows the absence of the streetcar yards, and the new Starrett Lehigh Building. The latter occupies the entire 26th to 27th Street block.
