Manhattan: 42nd Street (West) - Broadway

West 42nd Street, north side, between Broadway (right) and Seventh Ave. (left), showing a triangular excavation extending to 43rd Street, that is today (1937) occupied by the Times Building. This clearance was created by the demolition of 6, 4-story houses, which bore Nos. 1469 to 1485 Broadway and 603 to 619 Seventh Ave. This area is now known as Times Square. December 4, 1901.
