Queens: 51st Avenue - 21st Street

51st Avenue (foreground), north side, between 21st Street and 11th Street. The view is northeastward across the Long Island Railroad tracks. Across this area was later constructed a new highway to connect the Queens-Midtown Tunnel with the distant parts of Queens. On the left is the Queens Borough Hall, at 21st Street and 49th Avenue; on the right is a Sheffield Farms Company building. The elevated highway in the background is 49th Avenue.
