Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 54th Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, east side, south from W. 54th Street. Towering structures are units of Rockefeller Center. Under construction is the 70 story R. C. A. Building. It's slightly smaller component is the R. K. O. Bülid-ing. Note the old 6th Avenue "El" bend at 53rd Street. This is absent in the later view. The streetcar tracks are gone and the surface repaved.
