Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 43rd Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, from West 43rd to 44th Streets, showing the low buildings on the west side, as viewed across the former Hippodrome site. The latter has become the parking lot shown. This occupies the easterly frontage of the Avenue. Times Square and Broadway are just beyond, distinguished by the dominant Paramount Building. Various hotels are on the side streets.
