Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 43rd Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, east side, from West 43rd to 44th Street's, showing prominently the old Hippodrome. This structure erected about 1912, housed many famous productions, from pageants to talking pictures. Famous artists including Paderewski have played here. In 1922, Richard Strauss conducted a series of concerts with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
