Queens: Queens Boulevard - 55th Avenue

Queens Boulevard, east side, from 55th Avenue (left) to near 56th Avenue, showing the area in two successive views. These homes appear on maps as early as 1873. The first three homes from the left (view 1) were then owned by H. Geisling; the little house to the right of these, by one G.B.; and the house with the dormer windows, as well as the one adjoining it on the right, by Mrs. Raymond. To the right of that, standing in the direct path of the proposed extension of 55th Road, is the J. Casey house. The two small houses in the center of view 1 are on the direct line of 55th Avenue, when the latter will be extended here; the houses on the left will then occupy the N.E. corner of the intersection.
