Manhattan: Broadway - Chambers Street

Broadway, west side, north from Chambers Street, showing an early view of this thoroughfare above the City Hall Park. At the left is the building at the N. W. corner, a holding of the Andrews Estate since 1848. An 18 story structure, designed by Stanford White for the United States Life Insurance Co., will later arise here.
