60 to 72 East 42nd Street, south side, west of Pershing Square (Park Ave.) showing the Lincoln Building site being prepared. The photographer is viewing northward the same to the 42nd Street frontage. This is on a line with Vanderbilt Avenue, a thoroughfare that skirts the west side of Grand Central station, a corner of which is at the right top. To the left is a portion of the building at the N.
