Manhattan: Broadway - 204th Street (West)

Dyckman House. Broadway and East 204th Street, Manhattan. This is the only remaining farmhouse of the eighteenth century in Manhattan. Built in Dutch Colonial style William Dyckman in 1783, it replaced his earlier house on the same site which was destroyed during the Revolutionary War. In 1915, following restoration of the house and grounds, it was given to the City of New York by Dyckman's descendants. Bank of New York Calendar 1967-68
