Manhattan: Broadway - 204th Street (West)

Broadway, at the N. W. corner of West 204th Street, showing the Dyckman farmhouse, built 1787 by Wm. Dyckman. The original structure (burned by the British in the Revolutionary War) was erected by his grandfather, Jan Dyckman, the immigrant, in 1725. The family occupied it until 1868, and presented it to the City in 1915. A back porch destroyed in 1880 was restored, while the north wing, erected in 1830, was removed.
