Manhattan: Rutherford Place - 16th Street (East)

Rutherford Place at the N.W. corner of East 16th Street, showing St. Georges P.E. Church as photographed westward across the westerly half of Stuyvesant Park. The photographers vantage point is Second Avenue at 16th Street. Note the open latticed spires atop the church. These became weakened by fire and were removed (prior to 1890). About 1871
