Bronx: Hollywood Avenue - Schurz Avenue

Hollywood Avenue, east side, between Schurz Avenue and the East River, directly within the grounds of the Silver Beach private real estate development, showing the Robert House. It was built by the founder of Robert College, Constantinople. It is now (1937) known as the Cooper House, after James Fenimore Cooper, the renowned author, who lived and worked here on some of his books. The house is still inhabited and is said, by its present owner, to be about 170 years old. 1906 Gift of Randall Comfort
