Queens: Sanford Avenue - Kissena Boulevard

Sanford Avenue, north side, about 100 feet west of Kissena Boulevard, showing the S. Vernon mansion. In 1873 M. Hoffman, and in 1891 S.V. Mann were the owners. Jaggar Avenue a street west of the house, in 1837, was a private lane leading from Main Street to the Jaggar house. A Sunday School or Synagogue occupied the house in 1934. It is exempt for tax purposes and is registered in the name of E. Mann in 1934. 1922 Eugene L. Armbruster Collection
