Manhattan: Broadway - Wall Street

Broadway, north from a point between Wall and Pine Street's and across the latter, showing prominently the old Equitable Building occupying the Pine to Cedar Street frontage. This structure erected in 1872, and enlarged in 1887, .contains the main offices of the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States. To the right is the 5-story structure at the N.E. corner of Pine that was included in the site for the present 21-story American Surety Co. Building. The structure with a clock tower atop and on the far side of the Equitable Building is No. 134-46 Broadway. This was the former home of the Mutual Life Insurance Company and subsequently occupied by the American Fire Insurance Co. Later the Guaranty Trust Company built there.
