Manhattan: William Street - Pine Street

William Street (right), north from Pine Street (foreground of No. 1, street level not seen), showing mainly the roof top of the irregular quadrangular Federal Reserve Bank that abuts on Liberty and Nassau Streets and Maiden Lane. The low (8 story) Montauk Bldg. occupies the William Street side of this block. On the easterly side and opposite the latter is the Liverpool London & Globe Insurance Co. Bldg. This building has a pitched roof and is clearly discernible in View No. 2. The Royal Insurance Co. Building is to the north of the latter, having a curved corner outline. Shown in the foreground and nearly obscuring the Federal Reserve Bank is the New York Mutual Life Insurance Co. Bldg.
