Manhattan: Park Avenue - 39th Street

Park Avenue, east side, from 39th to 42nd Streets, showing demolition of houses from the N.E. corner of 39th Street to and including the little one in the middle of the block. On the site thus vacant the Little House will be erected late in 1934. On the N.E. corner of 40th Street stands the Architects' Building (1916), and above it the smaller and older 103 Park Avenue. The Pershing Square Building follows in the block from 41st to 42nd Streets, where the Grand Union Hotel stood prior to 1915.
