Queens: Northern Boulevard - Main Street
Northern Boulevard, north side, at and adjoining the N.W. corner of Main Street (left), showing a 3½ story frame structure occupied by the Underhills who conducted a grocery from 1870 to 1890. It was a boarding house and postoffice in 1830. The Flushing Journal was located for fifty years next to the Grocery. In the 1926 Queens Atlas the corner structure shows as brick or stucco.
