Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 21st Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, east side, north from W. 21st Street. The dominant structure is the No. 71 W. 23rd Street Building and contains the Masonic Temple. This towering edifice is at the N. E. corner and extends through the block to W. 24th Street. View 2 eliminates the 21st to 22nd Street frontage, being photographed from the opposite side of the Avenue at 21st Street. Note the old "El" line under demolition. Constructional materials in the foreground are to be utilized underground during the concurrent subway construction.
