Queens: Broadway - Victor Avenue

Broadway, west side, opposite Vietor Avenue, showing four views of the Samuel Moore house. It is said that the center structure was erected in 1663 and the remainder by Samuel or Benjamin Moore in 1760 or 1770. It was removed to make way for the Independent Subway line about 1930. Other owners were J.J. Moore, 1852-1873; John Perry, 1867; and O.H. Perry, in 1891. It is stated that Clement Clarke Moore, the author of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas', was also an owner.
