Brooklyn: 84th Street - 16th Avenue

(1) 84th Street, east of Sixteenth Ave; showing St. Johns German Evangelical Church. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. (2) The same; showing a memorial marker in the cemetery near the Church. This commemorates the house in which General Woodhull died in 1776. The house was erected in 1657, Rutgert Joosten Van Brunt purchased it in 1674. It was demolished in 1856, the last occupant, Barent Wyckoff, having inherited it from Rutgert W. Van Brunt. A Photograph of a drawing has been sent to Room 308, the Print Room. 1922. Eugene L.
