Brooklyn: 84th Street - 16th Avenue
(1) 84th Street, north side, east of Sixteenth Ave., showing J. Lott Nostrand house, built about 1670. During the Revolution it became the William Barrie Tavern, at which George Washington is said to have stopped in 1790. Judge John Lott Nostrand was born here in 1856 and lived here until 1902.
