Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 24th Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, north from West 24th Street. showing a reclaimed thoroughfare. This has been brought about by the recent demolition of the old "El" structure that formerly darkened this Avenue. In the left background appears the Greeley Square section with it's distinctive Hotel McAlpin. Dominating the skyline is the towering Empire State Building. March 29, 1939 P. L.
